Dreams arrive.

Dreams arrive.
Slips on eye lid slopes;
Wildly, sometimes.
Sometimes soft like a feather.
And you wonder.

Dreams arrive.
Becomes real in a jiffy.
You are surprised!
And question yourself;
Is this the dream I wanted so badly?

Dreams arrive.
In hurried steps, unheard.
Goes a distance and shouts back at you.
You run and catch hold of it.
Only for it to vanish;
Merging with the morning sun rays.

Dreams arrive.
You want to share them with the one;
Who really owns it.
Whispering, cuddled up together.
It is like a dream come true in itself.

Dreams arrive.
Just like life.
At the right place, at the wrong time.
Uncatchable, dissolving as fog.
In the dark night.

Dreams arrive.
Opens new horizons;
With your eyes wide shut.
Dreams vandalizes the turn of time;

To re-build hopes.

Our Friendship Clause

Not all live as they claim to be.
Not all are blind, who cannot see.
Not all are deaf, who cannot hear.
Not all are far, who are not near.

What is six to you, is nine to me.
What you hate, is fine to me.
How could one thing change years we spent together?
No peacock danced in one color or a single feather.

Why should I want, what is your need?
Unless, changing my hunger becomes your only greed!
I have my faith and you have yours.
Why should that be our friendship clause?

Nothing else matters

Nothing is happy enough;
If you cannot laugh till you cry.
Or cry till you smile, endlessly.

Nothing is funny enough;
If it does not include you.
Or, you cannot include the other.

Nothing seems interesting enough;
If it doesn’t touch you.
Or, you are unable to touch it.

Nothing is lovely enough;
If you cannot feel the love.

Or, love feels you.

Today

I used to laugh loudly, to spread cheer.
I used to cry openly, to share pain.

Today, I just smile, so that others don’t feel hurt.
Today, I sulk alone, so that people don’t have a laugh!

I think, what will people think;
Before I do, what I don’t want to.
I do, what others want;
Before I think, was I right?

Today, I miss yesterday.
Today, I want tomorrow to come early.
Today, I don’t want it to happen;
Yesterday, was my tomorrow.

Rainbow Colors

To enjoy colors of rainbow on your window pane,
You need to tolerate painful wait of heavy rains.

To bask in the glory of felicitating lights,
You will have to befriend shadows along.

To cherish memories on a night when you are alone,
You have to mingle with some adventurous strangers.

To celebrate your win, without guilt of a winner,
You will be required to fight, without taking sides.

To be happy with what you have, to cherish all life;
You got to keep giving away what is not yours, anymore.

Hum my song :)

If you want to tell me
If you want to sell me
A good idea
Hum my song, with me
And you will know.

There could be a turn
There could be a twist
In my story
Hum my song, with me.
And you will know.

I believe there is a reason
For, nothing remains the same
But did I change my faith in you?
Hum my song, with me.
And you will know.

Racing breaths

There are days that whiz past, in moments
It’s a sprint, really.
Many a times, with hurdles on the track
Day begins, you make a run;
Catch the road as per plan,
Reach a place, destined for you.
Conquer your need, rush out, again,
Racy breaths, gasping, you continue
Pull, push, pounce and punch.
Try as may, you will;
Never be able to pass the baton,
Life is never a relay.
.
There are nights that you remember, forever
It’s a sprint, though.
Evening leaves suddenly,
Dropping a sparkling shadow in your arms,
The moon becomes your witness.
A slow, shy welcome;
Hesitating, inviting smile,
Twinkling eyes;
Worth a million shining stars in the sky.
Racing breaths, shivering fingers.
You start believing in dreams;
And in prayers.
You want the night to never end.
You need it to run a little longer.
Alas, the baton is passed.
Day rushes in to break open the sky;
Life is always a relay.

My own evil

In the hurry to be right,
In the need to be heard,
In the moment to be seen;
We get tied down by our own evil.

In the emotion to be kind,
In the thought to be, thought of;
In the sentiment to be blessed,
We become selfish for nothing after all.

In search of a reason to live,
Seek truth, to find everything could be a lie,
Exploring breaths to define existence;

In all this heat, we get cold, sometimes.

Interrupting myself

I want to feel the sand,
Touch the wind,
Shout my silence,
Interrupt my own words.

I want to swim through dry thoughts,
And bathe in the warm sun.
I want to walk with no reason in mind
And reach my desired destination.

I want to be busy with lazy activities
I want to be disturbed by romance.
I want to smoke some breeze.
I want to drink my search.
I want to be where earth and sky meet,
As they embrace in the horizon.

Catastrophe

We all have secrets.
And we all should;
Not because it is right to have any,
Or there are any benefits off them.

Secrets are like windows
Hidden by curtains
Windows which may contain
The most wondrous sights
Pulled across by curtains
The best curtains money can buy.

Alas, secrets are true
Need not be proven
Just brought alive
In a surprise, by a disaster
But, secrets have a beautiful virtue

They delay catastrophe!

I am not I, anymore

Am speaking
But the voice in me is silent.

Am hearing
But have stopped listening to myself.

Am moving away
But not traveling anywhere new.

Am thinking big
But not growing up at all.

I am
But am not I, anymore.

Voyage

Am taking a voyage
Riding on waves of thoughts
With tide of emotions, I cannot control
Afloat, I keep my wind.

I am on my ship
Hope is my radar
Words, my sail, which I try to hold fast
Afloat, I keep my wind.

Rain or storm
I have to be on this cruise
Looking ahead
Afloat, I keep my wind.

Friendly Strangers

I could tell by his looks
He was not himself.
There was something he was not comfortable with.
I felt bad for him
More for the reason
That I could not do anything to help him.
He was feeling miserable
That I knew things about him.
Perhaps, I should not have.

Sometimes, it’s best to remain strangers.
Knowing pain, may ruin it all.

She had come up to me
To share her grievance
My fault was,
I had only asked, “what is wrong”?
She did tell me all.
And I listened.
Now, she is avoiding me;
I am not sure, if her issues are a problem, anymore.
Perhaps, I know she is in a problem, is the problem.

Sometimes, it’s best to be friendly.
Becoming a friend, may ruin it all.

Suprise Kiss

In the alleys of my mind;
Your memory lights up,
And burns my heart.

Cloudy thoughts;
Your lightning memories,
Make for misty, wet eyes.

On a dry barren day;
Your surprise kiss,

Like a cool summer drink.

Colors

Colors

Grey of black and white movies
Sounds, hinting to shades abound.
And just then, there is a splash of mix
Colors, sounds, shouts and light
Every dimension providing its own feel
A pinch of every emotion drenches you
Like a rainbow of thoughts coming to life.

The blue sky, cool, calm but charming
Comforting to eyes and yet powerful
Yellow, burning hopeful desires
Dancing with the shining sun rays
Pink, color with a rush
like a child’s cheek; a blushing bride
Red, A streak of temptation
That dream sports car you want to buy
That dress that you think you will never look good in
Black, the sin; the dark, dangerous but the deadly desires
Purple, magnificent, royal
Grapes; plush utterances with mild radiance
Passion, obsession, smiles and secrets
Colors show so much;
Colors hide so much.

Travel Alone. Always.

Travel is a beginning;
It is an end too.
It starts with a promise
To reach out.

It expands the known;
Searches for the unknown.
An experience to try,
An omen to stop.

There are assumptions,
Which lead you to a mystery?
There are expectations,
That lead you to a discovery!

Milestones are left behind,
Landmarks are found;
Weathers change with land,
People run around in similar waves.

Destination becomes a misnomer;
To arrive at and leave in a jiffy,
To pick some new notion,
And leave behind the old self.

Journeying the destination...

We took a journey sometime back
Started on a road; found some new paths
On the highway; crossed new milestones
Green fields, barren lands, still waters
Cold breeze and a warm companion.

Speed, undecided
Destination, unknown
Conversation, unlimited
Decisions, none.
Time traveled with us
But never disturbed for a reason
Distance was being covered
With no question on conquest.

We were available for each other
For a time that belonged to us
Space filled itself between us
We did not even attempt to capture moments
We did not want to own anything
We made the start but ignored the turns
We were happy though
To reached the end; still together
With a new journey in sight
And no conversation on reaching any destination.

Failure

I do understand
There could be misunderstandings
I also know
I may not know a lot of things

I forget a lot
But I cherish memories that I have
I blame others sometimes
But I don’t forget to forgive, myself

I fear certain elements of life
Some of it I have learnt to overcome
But have come to realize
Fear is necessary, to live.

I have failed many a times
Only to appreciate success more
But when I have succeeded
I have failed to appreciate, failure.

There are people.....

There are people
And there are things they do
Some of them make you love them
And there are some things about them
Which you do not like at all.

So, you can love someone
And yet not like them.

There are people
Whom you hate
But there are things that they do
Which are charming
And you cannot resist but love.

So, you can hate someone
And yet not love them.

There are people
And then there are some more
Some become company
Some just form a crowd
You do not define them at all.

So, you can have people
And yet not have any one beside you.

There are people
Who trust others more than self
Many people call them stupid
These are the same people who betray the ones who do
And confirm their stupidity

So, you can remain stupid
And yet be happy.

Sometimes

Not the darkness
But it is the blinding light
That makes us think its day
To dupe us, till morning arrives.

Sometimes
Not the clouds
But the clear sky
Makes us believe its all well
To fool us, till sudden downpour it is.

Sometimes
It is not mistrust
But love;
Getting overt and excess
To reach a point, to suffocate love itself.

Sometimes
It is not love
But the sense of self
Overshadowing, candid but an uncontrolled demon

To murder love, by ego.
